Hi, my name is Joe from Speed Karting Warrington and on behalf of GoingKarting.co.uk I would like to run you through some cornering techniques to help you get some fast lap times around the circuit in which you choose to drive.

Remember when cornering to keep the engine revs as quick as possible, this means using the whole width of the circuit to get your kart through. Don't forget when entering a corner, keep to the far side of the circuit and then when you see the apex and you've got your turning point gently turn the kart right across the whole width of the circuit to and to keep those engine revs up, keep the maximum speed going and you'll see those lap times start to tumble down!

Before setting yourself up for the next corner, don't forget the shortest route in to the corner is not necessarily the fastest route out. It's important that you keep it as smooth as possible and if you're going to do any braking at all, brake before entering the corner and turning otherwise the kart will spin and you will be out of control and time will be lost.
